How can I make a copy of my ps2 game?
Yes, you can by burning a back up copy of the disc.
To copy a PS2 game you will need three things:
- Compatible copying software, which will either be a CD-ROM or a DVD, depending on what type your game is (if the game has a blue underside, its a cd, if its silver, its a DVD).
- A PS2 mod-chip or boot disk. Mod chips are special chips which you solder into your PS2 to play back ups and other software. You can also buy a boot disk, which you insert into your PS2, then you load your burned copy in. In my personal experience, I would recommend using a boot disk, since it doesn't void your warranty. You can buy mod chips at many sites, including modchipman.com, and modchip.com.
I'm not familiar with any boot disk shops online, but you could just google “PS2 boot disks”.
After you have those materials, insert your game into your computer, and burn it to a CD or DVD like you would do with a music CD or movie. After it is burned, take out your burned disk, and voila! You have a back up copy of you game.
